You understand by viewing this website you will be introduced to information about energy healing. Energy Healing is a collective term used to refer to a variety of techniques based on the use and exploration of fields that look at imbalances within the person’s energy system as well as the energetic influence of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions on the body. The theory of Energy Healing is that the body’s electromagnetic energies are important for emotional, physical, and spiritual health. Energy Healing has yet to be fully researched by western academic, medical, and psychological communities; therefore Energy Healing is considered experimental.  Energy Healing is self-regulated and the State of California does not license any Energy Healing practitioners and considers it to be alternative or complementary to the healing arts that are licensed by the State of California. Jennifer Lyons does hold a Masters degree is Social Work and is licensed under the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, yet does not use her social work licensure during sessions and is not acting in a therapeutic social work capacity.

Jennifer Lyons is not a physician, psychologist, or other licensed practitioner and her services are not licensed by the State of California. Under Sections 2053.5 and 2053.6 of California’s Business and Professions Code, Jennifer Lyons can offer her services, subject to the requirements and restrictions that are described fully therein.

You understand when using Energy Healing techniques, the practitioner is not “diagnosing” or “treating” the physical body which is the domain of the medical field and other allied health care professionals but instead is connecting spiritually with a client to assist the client in addressing spiritual imbalances within the client’s energy system, as well as exploring the energetic influence of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions and how they impact the client. You understand there is a distinction between “healing” using Energy Healing and the practice of medicine or any other licensed health care practice.
